He has been honored as a Fellow of SPIE, Senior member of IEEE, Faculty Fellow, Outstanding Assistant Professor, and with an R&D 100 award. He has over 250 publications, including 20 books, 5 special Journal issues, and 20 patents issued. He has chaired ~ 35 international conferences on sensors and advanced materials, served on the organizing committee for ~ 50 conferences and has been the PI on over $10 million in funded research and a PI or co-PI on over $20 million while at Virginia Tech. Previous to academia, he held various industrial positions such as process engineer, R&D Scientist, Technical Director, and member of the Board of Directors for various organizations. He has served on many technical advisory boards and review panels for both industry and government including NSF, DOE and twice on a Triennial Review Team of the Naval Research Lab facilities, personnel and research projects and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing, a partnership whose members have included Rolls Royce, Airbus, Siemens, Canon, Aerojet, Sandvik, Chromalloy, Sulzer-Metco, Alcoa, Newport News Shipbuilding, NASA, the State of Virginia, UVA and Virginia Tech among others.

Dr. Bimal K. Bose (Life Fellow, IEEE) is an Emeritus Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA. A world-renowned pioneer in power electronics, he held the Condra Chair of Excellence from 1987-2003 and served as Chief Scientist at EPRI PEAC. He previously worked at GE Global Research (1976-1987) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Bose has made groundbreaking contributions in areas such as high-frequency link converters, AI in power electronics, and advanced motor drive control. He has authored over 200 papers, holds 21 U.S. patents, and published 8 influential books. His numerous honors include the IEEE Lamme Gold Medal, IEEE Millennium Medal, election to the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, and the naming of the IEEE IES "Dr. Bimal Bose Energy Systems Award" in his honor. He is widely recognized as a leading global figure in power electronics.

Dr. Maxim G. Ponomarev is the CEO, Director, and Founder of Cambridge Research and Consultancy. Born on January 24, 1968, he is widely recognized for his contributions to academia and innovation. Grigoris Kaltsas is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of West Attica. Dr. Kaltsas has served on multiple committees and boards in the fields of electronics, microsystems, and sensors. Genxi Li, received his BA in Polymer Chem., MA in Anal. Chem., and PhD also in Anal. Chem., from the Chem. Dept. at Nanjing University, China, in 1988, 1991, and 1994, respectively. Then, he was a postdoctor in the Biochem. Dept also at this University. In 1996, he was an Asso. Prof., and from 2001, he is a full professor. He worked as a visiting scholar in the Department of Biology, Munich University in 1998; Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tohoku University in 1999, and Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, Harvard University in 2000. From 2006, he is also a Professor affiliated with the School of Life Sciences, Shanghai University. From January in 1999 to May in 2010, he was the Chair of the Biochem. Dept. at Naning University, and from November in 2008 to October in 2011, he was the Dean of the School of Life Sciences at Shanghai University. His research interests include biosensor and the related areas. He has published 360 SCI-indexed articles, 18 review papers, and has dedicated 3 books and 10 book chapters. He was the former Vice-president and Secretary-General of the Chinese Protein Society (2011-2015), and member of the Committee for Chemical Sensor, China Instrument & Control Society (2006--), member of the Council of the Biophysical Society of China (2009--2021), member of the Council of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2010--2022). He isamember of the Editorial Board of sixinternational journals, and from 2018, he is an Associate Editor of the journal, Biosensors and Bioelectronics.

Prof. Patrick Siarry was born on May 28, 1952, in Pertuis. His research area is relatively (since 1982) new “metaheuristic” optimization such as simulated annealing, which are indicated for the so-called problems of “hard optimization” because of their ability to avoid in principle, trapping in sub-optimal solutions. This topic is multidisciplinary in nature, both by the source of the methods studied (physics, biology, ethology). Much of his work is explicitly one or the other keywords – in particular, modeling, identification, learning rule bases (artificial intelligence), control, nondestructive testing and maintaining the biological and medical engineering.

Prof. Ji Wang is the Qianjiang Chair Professor of Mechanics at Ningbo University, recognized globally for his work in piezoelectricity, acoustic-wave devices, vibration mechanics, and finite-element modeling. With extensive experience in designing SAW/BAW resonators, piezoelectric sensors, and quartz crystal devices, he has led major research programs and academic initiatives at Ningbo University since 2002. In 2025, he was honored as one of the top 2% of scientists worldwide, reflecting his significant contributions to mechanics and acoustic-wave technologies.

Monica Vatteroni is the CEO and co-founder of EYE2DRIVE. She holds a Master’s in Electronic Engineering and a PhD in Physics, with deep expertise in CMOS image sensor design. She is the primary inventor of EYE2DRIVE’s patented adaptive HDR imaging technology. Dr. Vatteroni has extensive experience across both academia and industry, including a PostDoc at the University Claude Bernard in Lyon on a Marie Sklodowska-Curie project, and seven years at the Biorobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna developing image sensors and biomedical vision systems. She has also worked as a consultant for Eurotech S.p.A. and STMicroelectronics, and previously contributed to intelligent CMOS camera development at NeuriCam, where she led analog and full CMOS sensor design. She is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications and holds nine international patents.

Subhas C. Mukhopadhyay holds a B.E.E. (gold medalist), M.E.E., Ph.D. (India), and Doctor of Engineering (Japan). He is a Professor at Macquarie University, Australia, and leads the Mechatronics Engineering programme. His research focuses on Smart Sensors, IoT, Wireless Sensor Networks, Robotics, Mechatronics, and Drones. He has supervised over 60 postgraduate and 180 Honours students, co-invented 14 patents, published 450+ papers, authored 10 books and 62 book chapters, and edited 45 books and 35 journal special issues. A Fellow of IEEE, IET, and IETE, he serves as Topical Editor of IEEE Sensors, Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation & Measurement and IEEE Reviews in Biomedical Engineering, and EiC of the International Journal on Smart Sensing and Intelligent Systems. He has delivered 460+ talks and chaired numerous international conferences.

Kaya Kuru received the B.Sc. degree from the National Defence University (Turkish Military Academy), the ADP/Major degree in computer engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), the M.B.A. degree from Selçuk University, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science/medical informatics from METU. He completed his postdoctoral studies with the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, U.K. He has recently engaged in the implementation of numerous AI-based real-world systems within various funded projects. His research interests include the development of geo-distributed, responsible, ethical and autonomous intelligent systems using FL, ML, DL, and DRL with CPSs.

Salaheddin J. Juneidi is an Associate Professor of Software Engineering and Smart Systems at Palestine Technical University – Khadoori. He holds a PhD in Software Engineering (Smart Electrical Systems) from the University of Aegean, Greece, an M.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University, USA, and a B.S. from Al-Quds University, Palestine. With over 20 years of experience, he specializes in software engineering, intelligent agents, IoT, and smart systems, and is the founder of the internationally recognized Agent Role Locking (ARL) Theory, awarded by AAAI. He has been a research fellow at Columbia University, a keynote and invited speaker at IEEE and Arab ICT Forum conferences, and has authored numerous publications and books. Actively engaged in curriculum development, postgraduate supervision, and research reviewing, his interests include smart systems, renewable energy, big data, and modern software engineering methodologies. He is a member of ACM, AAAI, FIPA, and other professional organizations.

Marina V. Koksharova is a PhD student at the Department of Chemistry, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia. She works at the Laboratory of Bioanalytical Methods and Optical Sensing Systems, where she specializes in aggregation-based kinetic fingerprinting.

Noussaiba Melaouene is an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) in Computer Science at EMSI, Morocco. She holds a PhD in Computer Science and a State Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from ENSIAS. Her research interests include intelligent transportation systems, smart cities, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), multi-sensor systems, and the integration of artificial intelligence for decision-making in urban environments. She has also worked on bio-inspired optimization techniques, notably the application of Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) to routing and decision-making in VANET environments.

Samiya Khaliq is currently a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), where her research focuses on advanced radiation detection systems, particularly the integration of perovskite-based scintillators with real-time signal processing and wearable technologies. Her recent work, published in Cell Reports Physical Science, demonstrates her capability to take a radiation detection concept from material synthesis to a fully functional, real-time monitoring device. The paper demonstrates the integration of Mn-doped Cs₃Cu₂I₅ scintillator with an electronic readout system (including PCB design, amplification stages, and embedded firmware), and wireless data transmission to a mobile application. This expertise positions her to advance next-generation detectors, where sensitive materials and intelligent electronics converge to achieve accurate, real-time radiation monitoring.

Mrs. Nezha Chater is a PhD student at the National School of Arts and Crafts (ENSAM), Moulay Ismail University, Meknes, Morocco. She graduated from the Superior School of Technology, Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco, in 2009, and obtained her engineering degree from the National School of Applied Sciences, Ibn Zohr University, Agadir, Morocco, in 2012. Her current research focuses on the improvement of energy performance and passenger comfort in hybrid vehicles.

Dr. Monika Arora is a Professor at Amity University Haryana with over 27 years of experience in academia and industry, specializing in Analytics, IT, and Operations. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, an MCA, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics, along with advanced training in Lean Manufacturing from IIM Bangalore. She has conducted 35+ MDPs and FDPs, delivering expertise in data analytics, machine learning, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and research methodology, and has provided consultancy and training to organizations in India and abroad. Editor of reputed journals and author of one book with 100+ research publications, Dr. Arora’s research focuses on sustainable practices, data mining, e-commerce, and analytics, and she has guided Ph.D. scholars and completed an ICSSR-funded project.

Brahmi Rafika is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center of Urban Systems (CUS) at Mohamed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Ben Guerir, Morocco. She holds her bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology of Information and Communication from the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Multimedia of Gabes ISIMG. Subsequently, she pursued her Master’s by Research degree in the same field at ISIMG. Rafika completed her doctoral studies in Electrical Engineering at the National School of Engineers of Gabes, where her research focused on modeling virtual communication environments using Digital Twin technology and Artificial Intelligence for B5G communication networks. Her work particularly emphasizes the application of emerging technologies such as IoT, edge computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Twin for healthcare monitoring and management. Her current research centers on the application of Digital Twin technology and Artificial Intelligence models for urban systems, with a focus on designing advanced, intelligent solutions for urban management. This work entails the integration of environmental and urban health data to enable data-driven decision-making and optimize city planning and operational efficiency.

At a reputable government university in Sri Lanka, Mr. Suresh Aluvihara earned a first degree in Earth Science, Mineral Science, Water Science, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Subsequently, he finished his master's studies in the fields of environmental and pollution control engineering, water treatments, air pollution control, and materials engineering at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Earth science and engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, and material science and engineering are his areas of interest in research including some additional research interests in some useful technologies such as the computer programming and artificial intelligence (AI) technology. As a well-known young researcher, he has published more than 140 insightful research articles and abstracts in the aforementioned fields in high-indexed journals, international research conferences, abstracts, conference papers, full-length papers, and book chapters. In numerous academic conferences, he has given keynote addresses, plenary talks, invited talks, featured talks, and guest lectures. In the interim, he participated in several outstanding conferences and workshops as a moderator, reviewer, and member of the organizing committee.
